this month's deployment was at marina south for the NDP preview. security was at level five. that's the highest it can go. the k-9 unit were patrolling the area with their killing machines, the bomb squad were combing the place with weird looking stuff, and the ghurka contingent were deployed all over with their shotguns and straw hats. they kinda look like safari hunters to me. officers were at pretty much every street, road, corner, stairway, frontdoor, backdoor, toilet door...everywhere la. i'd sure like to see someone pull off an attack on this year's NDP. then maybe i can stop him. then maybe i can be awarded by the PM himself. then maybe i'd become a national hero. then maybe i can be withdrawn from national service. then maybe...bleahhh.
