February 14, Valentine's Day. How many are actually aware that this occasion has Christian associations. Most celebrate it the commercialized way, as with many other occasions - gifts, gifts and more gifts. But even then, i succumb.
Modern conventions have it that this is largely a lady-centric occasion where ladies get to feel special with words of affection and acts of love. But ironically, it started off as a male-centric occasion where Christian martyrs were honored, all of which were men. But let's not be an ass on such a lovely day. Let's just say it a couple's day, where lovers make each other feel special. Sweet.
Love is blind. Yes it is. Men and men, women and women. Anything goes.
Love, there is no price to it. The rich can't buy it, the poor can afford it. Neat.
Love always protects, trusts, hopes and perseveres. What else do you need.
Love never fails. If it does, it ain't love. Either that or blame it on satan.
Love seems to be pretty perfect, doesn't it?
I love.
Happy Valentine's!
